“uh… i know i was a little… um… weird when we met. but honestly i’m weird with everybody. you kinda threw me, i won’t lie… but i’m cool with you, dude.”

nate’s smile wasn’t uneasy and it left no reason for kit to question what he was being told, but he couldn’t help the skeptical trickle down his spine. maybe he’d met too many people who claimed to be open-minded when they really weren’t. and he was sure that he hadn’t imagined the closed-off way that nate had been treating him since their first meeting.

but kit was determined to give every one of his new roommates a chance. especially nate. the guy was beautiful and, to be perfectly honest, kit just wanted to glory in his presence. he could give “straight nate” the benefit of the doubt. at least until circumstances proved otherwise.
