“oh?” nate kind of chuckled and kit could tell he was freaking out a little bit on the inside. “is that going to be a regular occurrence?” 

obviously not if the guy was going to get squeamish about it, but kit didn’t say that. he tilted one of his shoulders in a half-shrug with an easy smile on his lips. mostly he wanted to see if nate had just fed him some bullshit about not being homophobic while secretly wondering if ‘gay’ was contagious. 

…but he had to give nate credit. the guy didn’t look panicked. he even got up and switched seats so that they were sitting on the same sofa as the conversation continued.
