the conversation was weird on so many levels; but it mainly boiled down the fact that sharky was treating nate like he was in denial or lying or something. he wasn’t lying. nate arched an eyebrow and lifted his hands up in a shrugging gesture.


he shook his head at sharky.

“it would be pretty strange if you guys cared who i hooked up with. i don’t tell you who to sleep with.” why did he sound defensive? he wasn’t sure. it wasn’t like he secretly wanted to get naked with kit. nate didn’t. he’d never even thought about it. never. he liked to hug kit – he liked the way he smelled, he liked the way that kit felt in his arms, he liked the way he felt in kit’s arms – but that wasn’t sexual. it was just nice.

he liked being around kit. he liked it when kit was happy. that was why he made him breakfast, that was why he rubbed kit’s back until the guy fell asleep, that was why he gave him sleepy neck kisses. it was just… nice.

but sharky was trying to make it dirty. or, no, not dirty. but… make it into something that it wasn’t. so nate said,
