sometimes nate had an unbearable urge to kiss that spot on kit where his shoulder met his neck. just… the goosebumps that lifted on kit’s skin when he rubbed his nose there, nuzzled there, were so distracting. it was strange.

…and the way kit always made those sleepy/content sounds when nate’s nose grazed along the curve. it made nate think that kit would probably moan if he kissed him there.

which was… he didn’t know… weird, maybe. in a funny, twisty kind of way that made his heart speed. not in that  way. just… it was kind of fascinating. that he could do that to kit. make him feel that.

probably.

maybe he would — kiss him there — just his lips on kit’s skin. just a soft press, a touch. a little taste.

that was okay, right? it was soothing, was all. it was just that the idea of making kit happy was kind of nice. making kit feel things that belonged on the same team as happiness… 

he wanted that. he wanted that all the time.
