why did he even bother to ask? probably only because it got kit to roll his eyes and sigh exasperatedly. or because nate was the one who had crawled into kit’s lap and made himself a home there — it wasn’t like kit had initiated it. but after these last few weeks, that was hardly news.
when kit answered he was joking. but, okay, he wasn’t joking. more like it was futile and he was a glutton for punishment, maybe.
