Chapter Three
kit had barely made it home long before the same jenni that he’d left at the bar came traveling down his basement stairs.
she explained that lloyd had let her in, and said that she could wait for nate… and well, there wasn’t much that kit could say to counter that…
but he was in no mood to be social after the night out that he’d had. so he left her alone in the basement’s living area and shut the door to the room that used to belong to her. his brain was going in a million directions with excuses for why she could possibly need to wait for nate to come home.
did she want her old room back? or did she want the guy who slept in the one next to it?
